Peace, Love, Joy

Adventures are part of our daily lives.

Every day is a new adventure, never really knowing what will unfold, especially as busy moms. Our plans can so easily get interrupted by emergencies, the needs of our kids, a new task from our boss, traffic, etc. These interruptions can so easily cause frustration, irritation, and even anger. But what if we looked at these changes as opportunities to relax in the arms of God and to trust that even in the distractions of the day, we can demonstrate his love and be a positive role model for our kids or grand kids. These are adventures to model peace, joy, and love.

** In John 16:33, the Bible tells that we will have tribulation and still have peace “I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.”

**Joy doesn’t get chased away by trials and challenges. It sticks around. It is a fruit of the Spirit: Galatians 5:22-23 “But the fruit of the spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.”

**And in Colossians 3:14 we are reminded to love “Above all, be loving. This ties everything together perfectly.”

So when the days get hectic and interruptions occur, smile and remember that this adventure can be used to demonstrate the love and joy we find in God.
